shaq took 7 shots tonight in 38 minutes of play. talk about a double-standard. he’s averaging around 14 shots per game, while wade is averaging roughly 16. is he going to call out wade like he did kobe and penny? he’s willing to let a 24 year old dominate the offense on “his” team, but he complains to no end that he didn’t get the ball in the laker offense.

wade is good, on his way to great, but he’s no kobe. yeah, the heat are winning in the pathetic east, but that’s not what it was about for shaq anyway.

i loved seeing don nelson employee hack ‘a shaq the other night against shaq. clank-fu is in full form right now with his 39% foul shot percentage. the heat have lost two straight games, mainly because shaq couldn’t rely on dwane wade to save his ass.

fuck shaq.

meanwhile, all of the kobe-haters, like phil jackson and jim rome are going to have to find something other than the “kobe’s selfish” argument. he’s only taken more than 22 shots once in 8 games this year.

for a comparison, i’m trying to find out what tracey mcgrady’s shots per game avg was the last couple of years. looks like espn has some very cool statistical breakdown tools in their fantasy section …
